So, the aim of this study was to determine health literacy level and the relationship between health literacy and public health status, as well as health care utilization and health preventive behaviors, in urban women of Baluchistan region. <br /><strong>Methods:</strong> This was a descriptive-analytical study which was conducted on 247 women aged 18-65 years old. Samples were selected using multi-stage cluster sampling. Information was collected using a questionnaire consisted of two part including Health Literacy for Iranian Adults and GHQ28 standard questionnaire for assessing general health status, health care utilization and health preventive behaviors which was completed using home interviewing. Collected data were analyzed using statistical software SPSS 18 and statistical tests: Kruskal-Wallis, Chi-square and Mann whitney. <br /><strong>Results:</strong> 32.4 % of women had adequate health literacy level, 34.4% had border level and 33.2% had inadequate level. Inadequate health literacy was more frequent among younger household women with less educated and lower income (P<0.001). Also, women with higher health literacy level assessed their public health at the better status and attempt to do screening more than others. <br /><strong>Conclusion: </strong>This study showed that the health literacy level was inadequate in the women of Baluchistan region. Therefore, Codification comprehensive program , create a simple, understandable and accessible media and training materials, as well as theory-based educational interventions for people with inadequate health literacy can be an effective way to develop health literacy skills and health promotion in society <br /><strong>Paper Type:</strong> Research Article.Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

The study population included all patients had coronary heart bypass surgery in Mashhad Ghaem Hospital during the first half of 1394 was observed done at least one week before they had surgery. The questionnaire Functional Health Literacy in Adults and speed of recovery was self-made questionnaire that its validity and reliability was confirmed. Data collected by questioning the patient and using the software SPSS and Chi-Squar and Mann Whitney test were analyzed. <br /><strong>Results:</strong> No significant differences between different age groups and gender in terms of health literacy exist. But between people with different education levels, there was a significant difference in terms of health literacy. Also, significant differences in postoperative complications and duration of hospitalization in the surgical ward, there Comparisons of health literacy. <br /><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Most patients with inadequate health literacy and have a border. This study aimed to determine the association between health literacy and quality of life in retirement Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences. <br /><strong>Methods:</strong> This cross-sectional study on 137 retirees of the city of Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences. The sampling method was census. The validity of the questionnaire Functional Health Literacy Adult TOFHLA, and the questionnaire was 36 SF. Information collected through SPSS18 software and using ANOVA statistical tests, and chi-square and Pearson correlation and regression analysis. <br /><strong>Results:</strong> Total score quality of life and level of health literacy in retirement for the 58.9047 and 57.07± 60.45 respectively. Health literacy as a predictor of quality of life score ( p=0/001 and r =0/64). One-way analysis of variance between health literacy and age, and chi-square test showed that the variables life style, education, efficient your knowledge, has a significant relationship with the disease. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of selected music on agitation behaviors of elderlies who are suffering from Alzheimer disease and residing at selected nursing homes of Tehran city. <br /><strong>Methods:</strong> The present study was performed in a Semi-experiential. 34 elderly individuals with Alzheimer who show agitation behaviors were selected and they were randomly divided to two groups: intervention group (n=17) and control group (n=17). The individualized music was collected on CDs based on the elderly peoples’ preferences or if they suffered from severe cognitive impairment, their families were asked to select the music. Subsequently the individualized music was played by headphone in three sessions per week, afternoon and each session lasted for 20-30 minutes during 1.5 month for intervention group. For control group, no intervention was taken and they only received routine daily care measures of nursing homes. Data was gathered in 4 times for groups: Pre Test, Post Test1 (after 9 sessions), Post Test 2(after 18 sessions) and follow up step (a month after intervention). The tools for collecting data include: demographic inventory, Cohen- Mansfield’s Agitation Inventory (1986) and Abbreviated mental test (1972). The data were analyzed by MANOVA/ANOVA test on p <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><</span> 0.05 level. <br /><strong>Results:</strong> Before individualized music therapy, there was no significant difference on agitation behavior between intervention and control group ( p > 0.05), while after execution of intervention, significant difference was observed in all three measurement stages (p < 0.05). <br /><strong>Conclusion: </strong>This study supports the effect of individualized music on reduction of agitation behaviors of elderly people who are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and reside in nursing homes. <br /><strong>Paper Type:</strong> Research Article.Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

In addition, considering the aging population continuously increases therefore, the aim of current research is to investigate the efficacy of group film therapy on happiness and quality of life in elderly adults’ women. <br /><strong>Methods:</strong> This research is a quasi-experimental study with pre and post- tests. The population of study was Kahrizak nursing home residents. 24 elderly adults’ women selected through the criteria. They were assigned randomly to the control and experimental groups. The experimental groups received film therapy for eight treatment sessions (90 minutes for one session per week). The research instruments were Oxford Happiness Index (OHI) and WHO Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL- BREF). Statistical analysis conducted by analysis of covariance. <br /><strong>Results:</strong> There was significantly difference (F= 8.42, sig= 0.009) between mean’s scores of pre (M=28.33) and post-test (M=53) of happiness of experimental group among elderly adults. Also, it was not observed significantly difference (F=3.11, sig= 0.09) between mean’s scores of pre (M=99.5) and post-tests (M=105.7) of life quality of experimental group among elderlies. <br /><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Film therapy has positive effects on happiness and moderately on quality of life in older adults. Hence, film therapy could be considered as an alternative or complementary approach to existing therapies for enhancing happiness among elderly adults. <br /><strong>Paper Type:</strong> Research Article.Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

Nevertheless, the quality of services in these centers are of the main issues which facing the concerned organizations. The objective of this study was to assess the quality and the difference of providing services to reduce harms in drop-in centers and shelters of state welfare organization. <br /><strong>Methods:</strong> This study is a descriptive and cross-sectional study. The study population is consisted of clients who were coming to harm reduction centers (drop-in centers and shelter). The sample size is 268 people. The stratified random probability method was used for sampling. The data collection tools were adjusted questionnaire of measuring service quality (SERVQUAL) by Parasuraman et al. The data were analyzed by SPSS 22.0 software and paired t-test, Friedman and Kruskal–Wallis tests. <br /><strong>Results:</strong> The findings showed that there is a significant difference between the clients’ expectations of overall quality of harm reduction services and their perception (p≤0.01). Beside that there is a significant difference between clients’ expectations of the quality of each one of the aspects of harm reduction services and their perception of their corresponding dimensions (p≤0.01). Dimensions of Tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, empathy and assurance and harm reduction centers of Nejatzendegi, Qoqnoos, Aramesh, Asak and Hedayet respectively had the lowest and highest mean ranking. <br /><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The services which are given to clients of drop-in centers and shelters increase the possibility of reducing the social, economic, health consequences of drug abuse among them and in society. The aim of this study was to determine the status of fruits and vegetables consumption in dormitory female students of Tehran University of Medical Sciences based on the theory of planned behavior. <br /><strong>Methods:</strong> This cross-sectional study was down on 300 female students dormitories of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Samples were selected by random sampling. Data gathered by a questionnaire with 13 demographic questions, 42 questions about daily consumption of fruits and vegetables, 2 questions of behavioral intention, 15 questions of attitude, 5 questions of subjective norms, 7 questions about perceived behavioral control and 5 questions of enabling factors. Validity and reliability of the questionnaire was determined in a pilot study. Data were analyzed by SPSS software (version16) and using descriptive and analytical statistics tests. <br /><strong>Results:</strong> 86% of the samples had favorable behavioral intentions, all of them had desirable attitudes. 63 percent of them had favorable subjective norms and 78 percent of them had favorable perceived behavioral control and 84.7 percent of them had favorable enabling factors. There were significant correlations between fruit and vegetable consumption behaviors with the intention, perceived behavioral control and enabling factors based on the correlation co-efficient and leaner regression Tests. Intention, perceived behavioral control and enabling factors were predictors of fruits and vegetables consumption among these students. <br /><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Intention, perceived behavioral control and enabling factors were important predictors of fruit and vegetable consumption in these students. <br /><strong>Paper type:</strong> Research Article
