This study aimed to determine the relationship of health literacy to the quality of life and some of the demographic factors. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 400 pregnant women who were referred to health centers of Gonabad city in 2016 who were selected by census method. Data were collected using demographic questionnaires, health literacy and quality of life, and analyzed by ANOVA, Chi-square, Pearson correlation and multiple regression. Results: The mean age of pregnant women was 27.21±5.4. Total score of health literacy and their quality of life were 103.522±14.507 and 72.611±11.474 respectively. There was a positive and significant relationship between health literacy and quality of life. Health literacy as a predictor of the two dimensions of physical and mental health was the quality of life. Health literacy was significantly correlated with education but did not correlate with other demographic variables. Also, quality of life had a significant relationship with education level and the number of pregnancies. Conclusion: The findings revealed that the level of health literacy and its dimensions is essential to have a better quality so staff and health authorities should have paid attention to the relationship between these two components. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the relationship between social support and health literacy whit health promoting behaviors among female students in Islamic Azad University, in Kazerun, Iran. Methods: In this descriptive-analytic study, 200 female Azad University students were selected as the sample using random cluster sampling. The required data were collected using the Sarason's Social Support Questionnaire, Health Literacy Questionnaire devised by Montazeri et al., and Walker's Promoting Behaviors Questionnaire.  The data were analyzed using SPSS software (version 22), Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis. Results: Health promoting behaviors and health literacy scores in students were 74.32 and 76.68, respectively. The average for individuals in the students’ social support network was 3.8 ± 1.9 and the mean score of their satisfaction from their own social network was 4.9 ± 1.5. The results obtained from regression analysis showed that health literacy comprised 22.2% of health promoting behaviors while social support demonstrated 17.8% of these behaviors. Conclusion: Though health literacy and health promoting behaviors have been in a desirable condition for students, it seems necessary to carry out health education programs on the basis of the areas of health promoting behaviors and health literacy components as well as assisting students to improve social networking and to moderate their expectations with respect to this network. The sample populations volume was chosen based on Cochran formula. Results: The highest age prevalence refers to 20 and 29 years old person and age average was 36 years old. Based on Pearson realize, relation intensity between two variables is strong and Positive correlation values demonstrate a direct relationship between them which means the higher level of "decision making and behavior" dimension of health literacy cause their higher self-care, vice versa the lower level of their "decision making and behavior" dimension of health literacy cause the worse their self-care . Conclusion: Regarding the importance of self-care education in reducing burden of disease and sequent disability, we should improve self-care by planning on promoting the health literacy in target groups. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study in which 100 patients with multiple sclerosis diseases selected by the convenience sampling in Qazvin hospital. Respondents completed the Rapid Estimate of Adult Literacy in Medicine, revised (REALM-R) and the Newest Vital Sign (NVS) instrument. On the Realm-r, 7% had inadequate literacy and 93% had adequate health literacy, Using logistic regression the frequency of alcohol consumption and using cigarette (p<0/05) and level of education (p-value=0/045) were associated with higher odds of having inadequately health literacy as assessed by the Realm-r. There was a significant correlation between Realm-r health literacy (p value=0/007) and NVS (p-value=0/005) with visits to the emergency room (ER), and hospitalizations in the last 6 months.
